1. Privacy Statement
MedWellGo (“MedWellGo”, “we”, “us”, “www.medwellgo.com”) respects and protects your right to privacy in relation to your interaction with this Website. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, process, share and protect personal data of users of the Website, including healthcare providers and visitors (“you” or “Users”).
Any capitalized term not defined in this Privacy Policy shall have the meaning given to it in our Terms of Use.
This Privacy Policy explains our handling of personal data; reading or browsing this Website does not itself constitute consent to processing that requires your explicit consent. Where consent is required, we request it separately for the relevant purpose. You can browse treatment information without submitting an inquiry or medical documents.
If you use the Website on behalf of another person or entity (including a patient, relative, or employer), you represent that you have appropriate authority to provide their information. Please submit only information you are authorized to share. Adults responsible for a child may contact our team about an inquiry on the child’s behalf.
MedWellGo reserves the right to amend, update or modify this Privacy Policy. Changes will be published on this Website with an updated date. Changes do not retrospectively expand an existing consent; we will seek fresh consent where required.
This Privacy Policy addresses personal data processing under Turkish Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 (KVKK), Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), where applicable, and other applicable legislation. This statement is not a certification of compliance.
MedWellGo operates this Website from Türkiye. For questions about personal data and the operation of this Website, contact privacy@medwellgo.com or use the Contact Us page.
1.1 General
This section applies to all Users of MedWellGo.
Use of the Website is subject to the Terms of Use. Acceptance of those terms does not replace a separate legal basis or any specific consent required for processing personal data.
Information you submit is provided voluntarily. We use it to respond to your inquiry, coordinate communication with relevant healthcare providers, provide support, maintain necessary records, prevent abuse and meet applicable legal obligations. We do not use identifiable medical documents for advertising, public content or unrelated research. There is no sale of patient documents or personal inquiry information as part of this inquiry service.
If anonymized statistics are prepared, anonymization must prevent identification, including through combination with other information. Any new research or commercial use outside the stated purposes requires a separate assessment and notice before it begins.
1.2 For Visitors / Consumers / End Users
The current patient inquiry service does not require a user account. Public patient profiles, reviews and ratings are not enabled in this version. Information submitted through the inquiry form is not submitted for publication.
The inquiry form collects your name, country of residence, chosen contact method and contact details, treatment interest, preferred communication language and the consents you provide. Destination, timing, message and medical documents are optional. Please include only information relevant to your request. Files may contain sensitive health information. Up to 20 files may be uploaded, with a maximum size of 5 MB (5,000,000 bytes) per file.
We use the personal information you provide to identify you as a prospective patient, to process your request for medical services, and to share relevant information with Providers (Hospitals, Doctors and Medical Tourism Facilitators) in order to facilitate consultations. Relevant provider sharing of medical documents requires your authorization and an applicable legal basis. We use your selected contact details to respond about your inquiry and consultation; this is not consent to unrelated promotional messages.
We do not sell or disclose your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.
Hosting, database, document-storage, security and communication providers may process information necessary to operate the inquiry service under applicable arrangements. Any international processing is subject to applicable data-transfer requirements. Contact us for information about suppliers relevant to your inquiry.
We restrict access to inquiry records and documents to authorized purposes and do not intentionally publish them. We use access controls and other appropriate technical and organizational measures. No online service can guarantee absolute security, and these statements do not waive responsibilities imposed by applicable law.
MedWellGo may be required to disclose personal data where required by law, regulation, court order or legal process, or where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal rights, subject to applicable legal requirements.
We retain personal information only for as long as needed for the stated purposes and applicable legal obligations. It should then be deleted, destroyed or irreversibly anonymized as appropriate. You may contact us about the retention or deletion of your inquiry records.
Depending on applicable law, you may request information about processing, access, correction, deletion or destruction, restriction or objection, and withdrawal of consent where processing relies on consent. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of prior processing. Some records may need to be retained for legal obligations or claims. Contact our team with your inquiry reference; please do not email identity or medical documents before a secure verification method is agreed. Where applicable, you may also complain to the competent data protection authority.
Information may be processed in another country by a provider or service supplier. We must establish an applicable transfer mechanism and appropriate safeguards where required. Browsing the Website or accepting the Terms of Use does not by itself authorize international transfer of health data.
1.3 For Providers (Hospitals, Doctors, Medical Tourism Facilitators, Agents)
Provider self-registration and editable public provider accounts are not enabled in this version. If provider information is submitted directly to our team, the following provisions apply to that information where relevant.
All provisions of this Privacy Policy apply equally to Providers. Providers should read and understand this Privacy Policy before submitting personal data to MedWellGo.
Providers’ information may be used to identify and describe a Provider, communicate about inquiries and maintain relevant business records. Information published on www.medwellgo.com is either provided directly by Providers or obtained from publicly available sources. A professional profile does not authorize publication of confidential patient information.
Where relevant, MedWellGo may use Provider information to publish accurate authorized profiles, communicate about service inquiries, collect feedback and improve the Website. Unrelated marketing and any new research or commercial use require an appropriate legal basis and notice.
Provider information is displayed on an “as-is” basis. MedWellGo makes no guarantee as to the accuracy or completeness of such information but will take reasonable steps to maintain accuracy. Hospital search and comparison are not currently enabled.
MedWellGo may disclose Provider data where required by law or to protect legal rights, subject to applicable requirements. This version does not process online treatment payments.
1.4 Access by Minors
The inquiry form is intended to be submitted by adults aged eighteen (18) or over. A parent or authorized legal guardian may contact us about a child’s care and should provide only necessary information. We do not invite children to submit their own medical documents or contact details.
1.5 Changes to This Privacy Policy
MedWellGo may update this Privacy Policy as its services change. The updated date will be shown on this page. Material changes in processing purposes will be explained, and any additional consent required by law will be sought separately.
1.6 Consent to This Policy
This Privacy Policy forms part of the information accompanying our Terms of Use. Acknowledging that you have read it is distinct from consenting to processing. Contact permission and authorization for optional medical-document processing are requested separately in the inquiry form. You may submit an inquiry without uploading documents.
